So. Many. nice wheels and set-ups.
Just went through about 50 pages of posts and got a ton of good info. - too many people to shout out
cant wait to pick up some 18x9 / 18x10s this weekend and "slap them on" my '96. Pics will come soon.

New wheels
I went with aodhan wheels they really are nice. They rub a little on the top if the fender when I hit bumps in the road so I plan to raise the car a 1/2 when I put coilovers on. Ahx smf 18x9.5 wheels.

You're a brave man running wheels that wide. I ran those in an 18x8.5 on my 98 and had the same rubbing issue (it was more than likely because of the spacers, though).

I need to find a place that can roll the fenders I guess if the raising of the car with coilovers doesn't work.

Wheels: GMR 06 Flow Forged 18x9.5 +12 | Camber: -9 all around | Suspension: BC Coilovers 12k f 8k r | My first love, unfortunately, too low to be daily driven.
2nd iteration. Wheels: Staggered BMW "Style 95" 7 series 19x9.5f 19x10.5r | Tires are something like 225/35f 235/35r | Running 25mm 5x114.3 to 5x120 adapters. Camber has been toned down to about -6 or something like that. My fenders were already altered in my previous setup, so I have no rubbing issues. Really happy with the fitment now and driving her feels awesome.

Got some very unique and original wheels for my Ls, some +22 offset 17 inch rpf1s with some 235 40 Federal 595 tires. Jokes aside, I never see few people running rpf1s on their Ls400s. Im lowered on Bc extreme low coilovers and have no issues rubbing. I daily my car and only have the issue of constantly scraping my catalytic converters on speedbumps so I need to get that fixed. I highly recommend rpf1s or any lightweight wheel for our cars, it drastically changes the way it feels and it makes it a lot more fun to drive.

you would have to spec out the tires to match the LS. use this site to get the closest tire to match the stock sizing to minimize speedometer error:
