Default 1998 LS 400 Wheels ?

Stock chrome wheels need replacing. Bought a set of Konig Lightning wheels that the rep said would fit...they didn't. Front brake caliper was an issue.
Looking for a suggested aftermarket that you gurus could suggest that will fit.
Standard 16's

I know virtually everybody is running the larger wheels that might make fitment easier to clear that caliper, but any ideas for standard 16?

i doont even know anyone on the forum who runs an aftermarket 16 because 99.99% of the time it looks tacky/worse than factory...

if you must have them, look for "high disk/pad" wheels made for big brake kits.

You are better off either re-finishing your stock wheels or upgrading to newer LS430 rims. Aftermarket 16's will look pretty terrible.

Default e55 AMG monoblocks 18x8 fronts & 18x9 rear 1 mockup pic

Here is the setup Im putting on my 96 ls400

Im going to use 1.25 inch wheel adapters to mount them. 18x8's up front and 18x9's in the rear. I dropped it with tein coilovers. After calculating they should fit pretty flush with the fenders and Im gonna have to roll the fenders for sure. Right now I have the rear wheel on there just to see how they would look. No adapter yet. They will stick out another 1.25 inch. I think they are gonna look great.

Pretty much any 'aftermarket' 16 won't clear the LS' calipers. There just isn;t a big enough market to justify them.
Use 15mm spacers.
