I liked the way the LS430 rims looked on your car, so I decided to add them to mine. I think they make the LS400 look very nice.

They are definitely 18" wheels. Maybe it's the picture.
Actually, I was planning on getting chrome IS350 rims, but these seemed to more appropriate. However, I really do like the IS wheels.

Default Planned Rim & Tire package for my 99LS

Thanks for this much needed thread!

I've been thinking if getting bigger rims and tire pkg for my black 99 LS for a while and I think I found the combination that would look decent and not dent my wallet in case I they do not ride good and I need to dump them ...

==================================================
Package Information
==================================================

Wheels - Tire Rack Sport Edition ST4 Silver w/Machined Lip 18x8
Tires - 235/50ZR18 BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS Blackwall
Not sure of the Lip depth nor offset ....

I would opt for the suspension option if it not too expensive

not a bad choice but dont use that tire size.

the 2LS seems to work best with 245/45/18. i know this as im running the same size

PD,

Getting a thumbs up from PureDrifter is like getting an approval from Simon on American Idol. LOL

Do you know why Tire Rack/tires.com do not recommend the 245/45/18?

Thanks

no idea, i noticed that up until a few months ago they too recco'd the 245/45/18.

no idea why they switched to 235/50/18

to put it into perspective, 01-06 LS430 had 225/60/16 stockers (when 16"s were stock) which is the same as the 95+ LS400. Since the LS430 came with an 18" option that used 245/45/18 tires, im pretty sure those are the best bet for our cars.

lol, i wish i was like simon, then i could afford 2 rollers too

heres my latest set-ups...
20x9.5 +39 MRR hr-03 all around
235/30/20 falkens
5mm spacer in the front to clear calipers
none in the rear but could use a 5-10mm spacer to make it flush or poke a bit.

19x9 +10 low disc 225/35/19 fk452
19x10 -2 low disc 235/35/19 fk452
rolled and pulled quarter panels to the max without collapsing them, maxed camber adjustments on stock arms in the rear...
the front has a nice poke, and would sit flush if i had air-aired out... the rear........

mista808, What springs and shocks did you use for the one with MRR's?
And how much does it lower it by?
