damn, I just finished stripping both right side doors. It was a pain in the **** to remove the chrome trim on the rear doors due to the glass not going down completely into the door (which causes it to block the lower ledge screws holding it to the door frame. I have to end up removing the glass, and to do that I had to remove the Speaker. It was quite the task but the left doors should prove to be to be a bit easier....
So far... all the chrome and rubber window trim on the doors are removed, and the mirror & door handles have been removed. Tomorrow I will finish the left side and make an appointment at the bodyshop.

My next step is to remove the front and rear bumpers and remove the chrome trim and misc moldings, and of course taillights.
The paint booth is nearing!!! Thank goodnes the weather was cooperative
Well Im done for this weekend... so I threw the cover back on due to lack of weatherstripping and doorhandles to prevent water seepage.

awesomeness
i wanna do the same for my father's '90 LS. There's like rust, side swipe, grimy wheels, a matching but unpainted front bumper, broken this and that everywhere.
your post is an inspiration for me to do some work, especially with all the unnecessary abuse that our poor cars take in nyc.
(hope he pays me to do some of this work ha)

I dont mind posting the progress because After doing this I could replicate the work in a fraction of the time. removing glass, trim and door handle on RR door was 5x as long as it took me to change the actualy LR door and remove trim, glass and handles.
Fumbling around to get the correct method and steps (without breaking things) is what takes most of my time.
