also damn cheap , not LEDs (didnt wanna deal with the fast flashing and using load resistors) but regular chrome dipped halogens.

i wanna say you need a 7440 bulb for the front indicators of those cars, i bought some chrome dipped ones from autolumination when i had my old LS and they worked fine

I'd get bulbs from www.autolumination.com
LEDs from www.superbrightleds.com (If you want them)
and most of my Lexus parts from www.luxurymods.com . I've had horrible customer service at Lextasy.

Update
I thought I would give a quick update on the red Polarg bulbs for the RCR tails. I have had them now for over 3 months and they are still as red as day one
You guys with the crappy ones that turn pink could look for the red Polarg's

Dredged up my old thread...
I'm not one for the light mods, attracts too much attention and I'm a bit aged to go through the routine with the LEO's. .
I saw some on a LS400 last week that after having seen some miles I thought were Told myself, not only did it look so-so, the stock ones would last life of car barring some problem.
Looking at mine after some 160K miles, they are pretty road blasted from all the grit etc. I can clean them up but at $50 for some clear versions, I figured what the heck, get with the times. Even though, I ordered the old style grid pattern. This more closely matches the OEM baffled headlight lenses anyway. The diamond clear looks nice but doesn't go on the front end without cleared headlight lenses. (Like what Lexkost has done.) They arrived today and like I thought and had been told long ago. The quality is modest at best. I'll silicone the lens up, apply some clear bra, stuff them in with an appropriate amber LED and see.
Edit
Ok, so aside from the lenses from some manufacturers not conforming to DOT, the reason is also that most of the LEO's are looking for that amber reflector right? I'm still trying to find that VC section specifically regarding the amber corner reflector since so many get cited for illegal equipment violations WRT cleared bumper lenses.
Anyone know?

24609. (a) A vehicle may be equipped with white or amber reflectors that are mounted on the front of the vehicle at a height of 15 inches or more, but not more than 60 inches from the ground.
Anyone know?
