So I'm thinking of dropping the LS, but nothing major. I want to see everyone's set-up even if on bags. I have seen a few in the wheel set-up thread but not many posted what kind or how low they went.

For the people who have seen my 99400 on the LS430 18's, what do you think would look the best?

I have 1.5 to 2" drop with H&R springs and Bilstein HD struts (lowest perch). I like your rim selection - OEM 430 rims look good. I have 1 to 1.5 finger clearance between fenders. Pics on the sig below.

TJW, man, your car looks perfect the way it is right now, you don't need to mess with perfection!

Good point about keeping it the way it is now. You have to be ready to completely change the ride when you consider lowering it. My LS is still comfortable but NOTHING like it was. Many coil spring makers state the ride is comfortable because spring rates are increased - yes but it will be noticeably rougher - if you love the cushy ride of the LS you'll miss it when you lower it - IMO

There is a new company called easystreet who is going to be making a full bolt in air kit for less than 3000 which is supposed to handle and drive just as you want them to all the time not one or the other. I will be getting their set up once it is available to replace my JIC.

universal air makes one that fits over your stock struts.

they cost ~@2000-2200.

you can even use it with your coilovers.

.....when I first glanced at your post, I thought I saw an '04+ LS 430.....no kidding....but then when I looked carefully I realized its a 3rd gen 400!!. Those LS 430 18 inchers look REAALLLY good!!! .....makes me wanna go and get a set for my 2000! Were they just an easy swap or did you have to make any modifications for them to fit?? .....any rubbing issues etc, and what size tires do you have on them?? ....Thanks!

Vic
