So you are telling me i can get a set of twin turbo brake kit and put them on my mark 3 turbo using the stock wheels? Im not saying that you are wrong. That I havent seen done yet on any supra mark III. It maybe a different kit but no TT. But no, the TT wont clear the 16 sawbladez. Imma do a search. If im wrong then im sorry for posting the wrong info.

enjoy, this member has test fitted them on his 98 LS400. if they fit as described then they should clear pretty much any toyota brake setup, including the TT brakes which are NARROWER than the 2LS calipers.

Well, I think I fixed the problem, I just bought a set of 19" Racing Hart C5's from Craigslist. I think I should clear the TT calipers now.

Anyone want to buy a set of 17" GS400 rims in the Portland area?

Thanks guys.

Now I need to find the TT calipers, get some rotors and pads, Contact Addco for the right bushings and bracket for the rear sway bar. Then have it mounted with the Poly bushings and Megan coilovers and I'm all set!

At least I hope?

i'd have to ask why you want TT calipers instead of 2LS when the 2LS have been proven to brake just as well.

Seriously? I thought the TT's were a little better due to their construction? I bit more heavy duty because their all steel.

not really, there's ~1/2inch difference in rotor diameter, both are 4piston, and the LS is lighter (albeit a little wider) since it's a 2pc aluminum caliper vs. the supra being half alum. and half steel (iirc)

Well I admit there is a little bit of brag factor with having the TT's but if the price difference is that much different maybe i'll go with the LS2's.

It is quite hard to find TT calipers around, there is a nice set on the classifieds right now. I usually try to get the nicer option if possible (even tho I bought Megan's) so I guess i'll have to weigh it out.

If i go with LS2 brakes, is there anything you would recommend outside OEM?

buy some OEM Brembo blanks (from tirerack) , good pads (axxis ceramic ultimates, EBC RedStuff, or just OEM, still decent, make sure it's ceramic), and a set of calipers, used or rebuilt from your local autoparts store.

if you're doing the 2LS brake conversion you'll need to swap your lower balljoints for a set from a 95-00 LS400 as well otherwise you'll have some clearance issues. this is fine since most old LS' need new front LBJs anyways.

I already purchased new Toyota tie rods and LBJ's for the car from Ebay. So I think i'm stuck with the ones I have.

Since thats the case it looks like I have to go with the TT's anyway.

ehh i guess, i'd sell the LBJs and buy the 2LS ones, the TT brakes cost ~double to sometimes triple the 2LS brakes.

OMG, so after spending the last week getting new tires for the 19" Racing Hart 3 piece C5 wheels turns out THEY DONT FIT!

They are 5x112 and 5x120. Will fit BMW Audi and Merc.

On the inside of the wheels they are stamped 5x114.3! It's crazy, I checked with two different shops and they both confirmed.

It sucks, I have these amazing wheels now that I cant mount.

I'm trying to resell on Craigslist, does anyone have any other suggestions? Their all balanced and ready to go.

Yeah, but i'm a little worried about the offset. I was planning on lowering it.

I'm going to a specialty wheel shop today to see what my options are.

I talked to the person i bought them from and he assures me they came off a Tacoma with a 5x114.3 pattern.

on the inside of each spoke it says 4x110, 4x114.3, 5x110 and 5x114.3.

At the two shops I took these wheels to they pulled out the measure thingy and showed them to be 5x112 and 5x120. We even tried to mount them to no avail.

Will adapters modify the bolt pattern?

Sorry if I'm freaking out for no reason but I dropped some serious coin on all this to be told they don't fit. I'm still a big time Newb.

If all I need is adapters I can't believe the two big name places I went didn't inform me I needed them.

i know for a fact newer 00/01+ tacomas are 6x5.5 with a ~106mm hub so there's no way in hell it would fit.

older taco's had 5x114.3 PCD but again with a 106mm hub.
