1994 ls 400/w few problems
Hello, I'm new to this forum,and need some help. i have a 94 ls400 with 140,00 on the ticker. The car has been flawless, untill now. The two problems it has may be related....
1) the push brake to shift from park automatically has quit working( i have to do it manually)
2) The brake lights do not work at all although, the fuse is good...
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
p.s. i dont really care about the shift from park thingy, but the brake lights need to work

Those problems are one in the same.
I suspect that it is the brake lamp switch on the pedal that has gone bad.
I'm willing to bet that if you are driving and set the cruise control, pressing the brake will not cancel it like it's supposed to.
Replace the brake lamp switch and all will be well.
