I know what you mean. I can't get enough of my 1LS. I joined this forum because most of its members help each other out, and have good ideas and resources to bounce off one another.

My hat off to those brave and helpful few.

BTW, I own a 1LS and absolutely love it. I have searched up and down and researched for a method to improve the headlights in a cost effective (<$500) manner that actually improves true lighting performance (massive glare and poor patterning/ hot spots are unacceptable to me), and unfortunately, it's just not to be found. Unfortunately, the Silverstar Ultras are as good as it will get, until somebody produces and aftermarket housing with clear front lens that can be retrofitted with HIDs.

Could you post some pics of your setup so we can see?

For me, I'm pretty happy with the way the HID dispersed (its not as bad as my pictures make them out to be) but after seeing how clean that came out on someone else's 1LS, I might just re-arrange it so I'll try to re-work it to match the original focal point.

I'm looking forward to the aftermarket housing, I am wondering if anyone in Japan has customized headlights on their UCF10/11....I'm checking celsiorup rite now.

Avalon--I'm on the road now so don't have access to take pics. However, the SS Ultras look will have the same pattern as stock 9004s (since we're not changing the housing at all), but with a definite whiter look, and more lumens down road. Honestly, I didn't do it for the white or blue look, I did it because they put out more lumens (the ONLY correct metric for measuring actual light output) while maintaining stock wattage: therefore they actually put out more light without drawing more current, and do not require any wiring harness upgrades.

Digging up a really old thread now but have you guys ever tried aftermarket headlights with hids? Maybe the clear lens will help the glare? Something like these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-94...Q5fAccessories Maybe without those hideous corner lights though.
