do you have the dual hi low kit or just a single low beam hid? if you are on a single low beam, take the thick red wire with yellow stripe and splice it into the wire you are using for the positive feed to your hid ballast. now it will work like factory.
just don't hit your high beams or your headlight fuses will blow!

and where is this wire located???? Im running the 9004 low beam only ... ill try this just need help finding that wire...........

i have dual beam so this sort of defeats the purpose.....
and to be honest, my foglights look rediculous against hid's, so they will be replaced soon.....

question:
has anyone tried to put the 9007 bulb instead of the 9004?

Yes, thanks to 19psi but hit that high beam and they blow the headlight fuse under the hood.
I disconnected mine for the time being.... they are not even remotely close to bright and they just take away from the front car view....
As of 6:00pm California time...just ran some more test, but still nothing.... seems like it either needs a resister or relay to get the whole system to work right. Did find out that you can add a 3rd stock light and everything would work fine, but who is going to be doing that......

This wire's on the original harness, you'll see three wires. I believe one red(power, black(ground), and another red one with a stripe(power?). The 9004 HID setup only uses two of the wires. So I think if you create a circuit on that striped wire, your fogs will be activated? I'm gonna give it a try tomorrow.

as a test, take a long wire, stick one end on the positive battery terminal, and the other end on the red/yellow wire. make sure your foglight switch is on. the light should turn on.
just take the red/yellow wire on each side and splice it into the positive side that y o're using to power your HID ballasts.
or you could run your own wire to supply power to that red/yellow wire on each side, put a fuse in it and you'll be able to run your fogs at any time.

sorry, i thought you were the original poster...
as of now, i haven't figured out the high beam circuit. i know my rigging of the foglight wire isn't 100% correct because it does blow the fuses if you hit the high beams but that's as far as i got; most ly because i just have a single beam HID kit.
did you get your brights working at all along with the lows?

yes, i got them to work, but it needed that 3rd light. so what i'm thinking is that inside that stock 9004 bulb has to be a resister to change the current which activates the high beam and or fog. because the ls400 uses that red and green wire as well, but the current is changed, which switches the high's to low or turns the fogs off when the high's are on. but if you jump the wire.... the current wont change, thus blowing the fuse. sorry, but i'm forgetfull at times and i would hit the high beams changing lanes....

i'm just not good testing the resister part...... so i was sharing all what i tried so far, with a dual beam kit.
sure hope someone figures this little bit out. so the ls400 conversion can be fixed for good. and i went with the hi/lo kit because i didn't want to down grade my lights. they came with hi's/low's & fogs.......
