Default Swift Racing HFI for Lexus LS400 98-00

I am not sure if I missed it or not but I was searching for why the Swift Racing HFI won't fit on a LS400. I found one guy on here who said with some hammering and cutting he got it to fit and also maybe the wires might be different colors for soldering the wires to the ECU.

I emailed Swift and here is what they said... so with what he said I am game and I def looking in to getting the HFI for my LS

"The GS400 intake works fine with the LS except the heat shield needs to be modified to make it fit. The intake and ecu however fits and works fine."

I am new of course so please don't bash me if everyone knew this because I searched and didn't find much but maybe I am blind.

While I can't answer your specific question I can say that Swift's GS 400 is off the charts fast - WOW Welcome to CL bro.

So your saying I shouldn't cut up a $450+ intake.
I did read that thread though that you linked.

I just got the car so I am in no real hurry so I'll just hold off on anything for now.

Thanks for the help

I would like to buy their variable resistor for the MAF since it takes rpm maf and riches the fuel mixture. I am sure you could do the same thing with a normal fuel curve mapper .

i think the only systems u can have uploadable maps for is the eManage line from Greddy which is about 2 times the price of the SAFC since u have to buy all the sensors and harnesses separately.

otherwise its total standalone MOTEC, AEM, or PowerFC

il stick to Apex'i, besides, SoCal weather is too different from the NorthEast!

You don't have to buy the sensors or harness unless you are boosted and want to have a better idea of afr for prescion.
Basically connect to the factory wires and it is done. then make your base maps and away you go.
