91 LS audio setup questions
Do you guys think that $1000 - $1500 would be enough to replace the sub, speakers, headunit, etc. In my 91 LS with the "Premium Lexus System" not nakamichi. I'm very new at car audio applictaions and didn't know if this was enough to install a "better" setup than what i have. If this, is could you guys give me some recommendations on what to get? I'd like to save some money and install it myself but if it turns out to be too complicated then i probably won't and will just take it to a place like Ultimate Electronics. Thanks for any help you guys could give me.

with 2,000 bucks you can get Alpine or Kenwood
The stereo (CD)
7 Band EQ with crossover
2 amps... a small one 4 channels for tweeters and mids and one for boom box (usually 600 watts RMS). You can bridge this amp.
The speakers? how about 12"?
You can do it yourself and save $$...
P.S. you will also need the wires (monster cable) and don't forget the 4 gauge power. RCA buy them gold plated for better sound quality. Ohh and the fuse box.
I notice the prices are going down a lot in car sounds.
