Minimum Tire Load Ratings
Sorry if this has been asked before but I coiuldn't find anything in my search.
Just wondering what the minimum acceptable load ratings are for tires on a 1991 LS400.
The tires that are on it are currently 225/45R18 in front and 245/40R18 in the rear. I'm thinking of changing the rears to 255/40R18 but leaving the front the same (to equalize the diameters, right now fronts are bigger...looks weird). The issue is all the tires I have looked at in 225/45R18 have a load rating of 91 which is somewhat lower than the stock 205/65R15 size that seem to have an average load rating of 95.
Is 91 a safe load rating for the front tires for these big heavy cruisers?

My '91's front tires have a load rating of 91...rears are 93. No problems so far.
