I bought my wife a White Diamond Pearl 91 a few years back and I have been very happy with this car. It is close to 300,000 miles and runs like a champ.

She misplaced the master key and I am looking to buy her a new one with the chip. From what I have read there was a great sale on Lexus keys some time ago. Any chance of this happening again? I have been to mylexus.com. and it looks like this would be the best deal. The dealer here would charge over $300.

I have seen the blank master keys and would I need the orginal to make a copy? We have the valet.

Any advice appreciated.

i wanted to get the key w/ remote for my car as well, a 93 ls400. dealer said it would cost about $2-3 hundred. So i just got a regular key made, cost about $55 from longo. its not worth it to pay that much for a key to an old car.

for the 1LS you cant buy a new master, you have to replace the alarm unit itself. the system wont accept a new master.

now if u have at least 1 master u may be alright.

Sometimes you can get lucky and get a locksmith who knows what they are doing. You may need to call around. I was able to find one who made my valet key into a master.
