That LS looks amazing for 190K. Can I ask if it is garage kept or parked where shown all the time? What major maintenance has this LS required until now?

as far as major maintenance it's had the timing belt changed once in 2012, various suspension bushings have been replaced and actually only a few months ago i got a check engine light but it was just the front O2 sensor
i do all my own oil changes every 5k miles or so (ramps are a good investment) and every 15-20k miles i'll remove like 2 quarts of trans fluid and replace that with an equal amount of fresh type t-iv
it also had the spark plugs replaced around when the timing belt was done and i actually plan on changing the plugs again soon, if i realized how straightforward it was i might've just replaced the plugs myself initially as well... i also gave the throttle body and air mix path a decent cleaning several years ago and that smoothed out the idle and improved response

thanks, i definitely keep it in the garage, my grandparents always had (classic original LS owner lol) and i've made sure to keep that going since i got the car in 2011

What about spark plug coils? I will be amazed if they are still the originals. I want to put the LS430 5-spoke rims on mine. Was there any clearance issues with them on 98 LS? What size tires do those LS430 rims take? About cleaning the air mix path.. it is always good to do that. The new cars with direct fuel injection are a night mare in terms of the carbon build up on the valves. And its hard to clean them too.
also keep the stock 16s on it, the 430 wheels are more bling but then you end up with an equally squishy car that now doesn't take harsh bumps as well... they take 245/45-18 tires and no issues with clearance or anything
and unless you lower it and further harshen the ride the 18s look a bit off with the existing proportions (my opinion at least), i had my car on H&R 52426 springs when i took my sig pic picture

I will probably post it once I am back in Cali. In the middle of a move to Texas and I would prefer to only bring back one of my two cars still over there. Clear coat, dash cracked, tops of rear seats sun faded and torn. Drives like new, cosmeticaly I would give it a 5 out of 10, no dents or accidents. I keep wanting to restore it but we will see if or when that happens. If anyone on here is interested I might become more proactive about selling it.

I have a ‘93 Toyota celsior with 61,000km or about 38,300mi on it. I paid $5,000 plus around $2,000 for shipping to the US. She’s legal and my daily and drives perfect even in 5 deg, snow-ridden weather (It’s a museum piece I know, but she was bred to be driven). Basically a tank for 1/30th the price.

I have a beautiful 1998 LS400 with 146,000 miles on the clock. It is loaded with Pioneer double din: navigation, DVD Player, two video monitors for back seat riders, reverse camera, back up sensors and dash cam. I installed 4 new shock absorbers about 4 months ago plus 4 new Michelin tires. Two years ago I changed the engine mounts and tranny mount. I also changed a couple of bushings (front & rear).
I am asking $6,000 for it: no more, no less. The timing will need changing in the next 50,000 miles.....I changed it at 90,000 miles. Strangely enough I was looking for a 2006 LS430 and saw one with 37,000 miles on the clock and the seller is asking $22,000 for it. When I asked whether the timing belt was ever changed, I was shocked to learn that the car still has the original timing belt. That turned me off instantly. I doubt that belt would stand up for a long trip. The car is 15 years old. The belt should have been changed during the 10th year of its life despite not reaching the threshold or recommendation to change it at 90,000 miles.
If anyone is interested in my LS400 please send me an email.. judexyz123@yahoo.com
I will be posting some photos very soon.
