I like them a lot better.Especially on dark cars. It does kind of make it look like the ES, but so what? The ES looks pretty good from the back. I wouldn't pay any attention to "lesser".

 

I like the RCR's on your and have them on my 95 black LS - I thnik the RCR's make the car look wider to me. Sure they are similar to the ES lights but that is OK for me. You put my LS next to an ES and there is no mistaking them

 

Or look at the car from ANY other angle than straight from the back focused only on the taillights and there is no mistaking them.

I went to the mall today and happened to park between an ES AND an older Q45...which was very ironic. They didnt look much like it at all I though. From the rear, the LS looked much nicer, but it did KINDA resemble the Q45 but you have to remember that the Q45's that had the longer tails weren't even Clear in the middle stock. You had to buy them just like you had to buy these.

Like I pointed out, the colors are the same, the sun was angled about 60* up at a corner that morning. I took those pics about 10:30 AM.

A guy I know has a white LS4 of the same year around town and was really impressed with the way it looked he said. I'm starting to like them more because it give it more af an updated look if you ask me.

 

Well, I totally love the look, but I just don't like the fact that they do resemble ES. If anything, you should slap LS400 badge on it.

 

I'm a stock look kinda guy. I think the originals look better. Your LS is gorgeous either way. Man i want a 98+ sooo bad...

 

I always wanted to get a set of RCR and love the way they look on an ES , so the comparison would not problem . I just would need to see them in person as it does not look crystal clear like oem ones but more like a regular reflector glass.

 

Your right SK. They look so much better in person...cameras can be used for good and bad in a picture.

 

I think that almost all cars look better when amber is replaced with either red or clear lenses, but for some reason I have a hard time deciding with the gen 2 LS. Does Lexus make an OEM RCR? or maybe red turn signals instead of amber?

i like them. i don't really care about the fact they look like another lexus.

i've always wonder how it would like with all red tail lights and only the reverse part clear/white. so if the outer part was all red.

 

I'm not a fan of RCR. I do tend to like the RCR on the corners with the trunk lid left stock.
