Default sc400 and ls400 autotransmission

just wondering would a 93 ls400 auto transmission work on a 92 sc400 auto transmission? both cars have same engine just wondering if it would work because my just recently went a dump, and a local guy here in fresno has a ls400 transmission.

I think the torque spec's will be a lot different. Car may be slower, that is if they are even compatible.

Yes. 1st gear and reverse are different on the A340E vs the A341E. The ratio for 1st gear on the A341E is 2.531 and 2.804 on the A340E. Reverse is 1.880 on the A341E and 2.393 on the A340E. A different ratio means a shorter or taller gear. As a side note, the difference between 2.531 and 2.804 is fairly significant, certainly enough to be noticed.

So would a taller gear be less acceleration? Slower?

Yes, if you managed to hook-up an A341E in the first place.
