91 LS400 Suspension Alternatives
I have a 91 LS400 with air suspension. The front suspension is shot-- floats like a butterfly. The dealer wants an insane amount to replace "struts and computer". Car doesn't warrant that investment.
What are alternatives? I have called Midas, Sears, Pep Boys etc. and asked them to just replace the struts with standard (non-air) -- back suspension too if necessary. Nobody will touch it.

You might want to try a more specialized shop like TM Engineering or SP Engineering...I think those types of shops would be more willing...places like Midas, Sears, etc. are like the McDonald's of car shops...whereas TM and SP are more like having a private gourmet chef...

You might want to try an import auto recycler . You could find a good shock/strut there. You can also try to find a repair shop that only repairs import auto's. I don't have air suspension on my 92' LS 400
