So how are the Megans holding up after a year. I wasn't happy with the reviews, and I ordered teh Tein CS this morning, then realized the CS doesn't lower that much.

So are the Megans my only option for going low. I want coilovers only, and don't want air.

Appreciate the help.

Will be running 19s. 95 LS400

Hey 19

Thanks for the info! How many inches have you lowered yours? I won't have my 19s for another 2 weeks, so wondering how to eyeball and get the right stance on the stock wheels (95 LS), so that I really don't have to adjust it much when I get the 19s.

Also what dampening settings are you running on yours?

Appreciate the info.

I am taking my LS to STL, MO next month.

i have no idea how far i dropped it! i just kept going down until it was right. probably 3" front, 3.5 rear.
i run the dampers on 16 int eh front and 12 in the rear.

Are the dampers easy to adjust after it is installed in the car, i.e. for daily driving?

Or should I adjust it all first install, and leave it be?

Other words how hard is it to adjust, if I don't like it after the full install?

SO you recommend 16 and 12? I like to keep the stock ride quality with a bit better handling. Your help appreciated.

So you lowered more in the rear? I would like to keep a little bit of rake to the car.

Thanks

well the fronts are easy to adjust, the rears not so much. you have to removed the rear package shelf trim which means you have to remove the back seat cushion. not that much fun just to spend 30 sec. turning hte *****!
16 and 12 works for me, it's not too stiff at all, definitley rides very nicely considering the tiny sidewalls, and stiffer springs. stock ride is more like 3 or 4 notches past the softest but it was too soft for how low i have it and i didnt' want to bottom out plus i wanted better handling so i bumped them up.

yes i lowered the rear more because of the fatory rake. i wanted it to look even and flat.

I figured they are not very easy to adjust. That is why I wanted them done, the right way when installed. I heard from the factory they come in the "middle setting"

The factory rep I talked to send me this:
1-8: Suggested for track use.
9-16: Suggested for mountain/aggressive use.
17-32: Suggested for common street use.

I will go with your 16 and 12 recommendation Thanks!

So would that change your 16 F 12 R recommendation?

i think i discussed this with lexkost but an idea that you can try to do is cut some small holes int he package shelf and install either big ***** or the oe-megan ***** through the holes so that you can adjust the rear dampening without taking the package tray (and therefore the rear seats) out.

Thats not a bad idea. I was just trying to be lazy and get the damper numbers here, since so many people run them, and I trust you guys, and start there as the base numbers.

Otherwise the stock Megans come from factory middle setting all around.

yea, but do you REALLY want to have to take out the rear seat (back and bottom) and the package shelf EVERY TIME you need/want to change the rear dampening?

well the fr. 16 would stay the same since it's right int he middle and the 12 rear would be 20 based on their scale.
