if u want more extension or tilt out of your steering wheel max it out then clock the **** 10times in the direction you want it to extend more in (ie towards you and/or down, as i like it ) and it will extend a tiny bit more than the preset limit.

DON'T do the above it will kill your motors after time ! !

Also the key in door to open window is usless, I don't understand it.
never did anything on either of my LS' tilt/tele motors

key in door as in you dont ahve to get in the car, put the key into the ignition to open or close the windows.

VERY useful if its 2am and u just realized its going to rain and u wanna close ur sunroof (i keep mine tilted most of the time in this heat)

I dont know. I think its a different reciver all together. I was planning to pull one out of a junk yard when I was in Saudi in April, and try and adapt it into my GS... but I had the time. I was also worried that my remote wouldnt work with the other reciever any longer... so it sounded like a big mess.

But next time I ago, im goign to yank some ECU's, adn remotes with me.

you seem to be right on, i looked over the setting sheets and while the down/wireless setting is there (hold down unlock triggers windows down/sunroof open) the up/wireless is said to be nonfunctioning on North American cars

IMPORTANT:
The Scan Tool displays a list of items under each function. Customize Software is used
for worldwide markets. The following items, although displayed on the Scantool Menu,
are NOT supported on North American Vehicles:
FUNCTION____________NON–SUPPORTED ITEM
4. POWER WINDOW________UP / WIRELESS
8. LIGHT CONTROL_________RESPONSE TIME
0. SLIDE ROOF____________ CLOSE / WIRELESS

I wish our models did this. Several times at work it has started to rain and I have to run out to roll up my windows. Would be nice if I could just push a button.

Interested to try the mirror and the steering wheel tilt tricks. Love hidden stuff. Keep em coming!

How about this chestnut.

The early LS has directional rims to cool the brakes. You may notice that your rims are marked R & L so that the airflow works accordingly.

1998-2000 LS400

if you get a "Check VSC" light on ur display go and have ur Battery tested, the LS and similar year GS tend to give u advance notice of a critically drained battery this way.

I've actually done this on my first gen ls a few times. It does work, but like SK said, I don't want to burn up my tilt motor and besides I like my steering wheel a little higher.

edit: crap, I read this as 98-00.

No, it's a safety feature.

My JDM GT-Four Celica RC will auto roll the windows up. No auto up in the USA.

Can someone solve this (may be easy):

I hate clicking twice on unlock for all 4 doors...is there a way around this?

Unlock the passenger side with the key......

They do that on purpose so if there is a scumbag hiding by your passenger rear door, you don't inadvertently let him in......among other reasons.

I am pretty sure you could tweak your remote to bypass this, but it is beyond me....

Another one that works for both 2GS and 2.5LS (taken from GS hidden features thread and tested it on a US-Spec 2.5LS).

You can adjust the sensitivity of the carbon sensor for the automatic air circulation system by holding the circulation toggle button (circulate/fresh air/auto), then it will show a number on the screen. Once that number shows, press up or down on the temperature control to adjust it. Goes from 0 - 3. I know this works, just not sure how well.

What is the purpose of the carbon sensor adjustment?

When set to auto, the sensor will detect "dirty" air and automatically adjust between circulated air and fresh air. What type of air it is able to adjust at is unknown, however the user's manual mentions that for example if you are behind a diesel truck and they accelerate quickly, spraying out tons of black disgusting smoke and particles, then it will adjust to circulate the air in the cabin only.
