Default No luck

Well, he**!

I took the car in to the service center today. They looked at the idle air control valve and found it to be fine, much to my dismay. They took it out for a nice long test drive and of course could not make it malfunction.

They seemed to think that it might be the EGR valve. So, now we're down to guesswork. He said they wouldn't just replace parts to replace parts and would definitively get to the heart of the problem, but I don't see how, if they can't see a diagnosis code on the comp and can't make it do what I've experienced.

This is so frustrating.

Default if it is the airflow meter

If it is the mass airflow meter there is a company in San Francisco that rebuilds them and sells them at a great price check the internet for rebuilt airflow meters in case this is the problem. A company has come out with a spray to clean the airflow sensor you probably can find it at pepboys or some other store this might help. All you have to do is remove the airfilter and just spray the mass airflow unit the box right behind the airfilter dont put your hands in side there is sensoring wire and it can be broken if you snag it. HOPE THIS HELPS.
