hey just got tanabe style mufflers from max performance, they have a nice sound but not loud enough if i take the resonators should they be louder, how many people have done it, what is your sound like.

I put the Magnaflow's on first -

they started the car and it really was no different from stock. Had them cut the resonator's off and it sounded much better. Has a nice grumble at idle and I love the sound when you start the car. Not to loud. Each manufacture of muffler's are different in the sound they make, but I would have them cut the resonator's off and if it is to loud for you have them put on (my shop called them) some glasspacks where the resonator's were. That should quiet it down a bit. At least that was their idea.
