Thanks for all the input. Gotta love constructive criticism. That was just my first try and it turned out better than expected. But I am working on a new piece and taking my time. I had a buddy scan my console at his graphics department and then I measured the openings and cut cloroplast and glued 4 pieces together. Wrapped the scanned wood around it, which was printed on a sticky paper. And glossed it and used a nail hardener. It was spur of the moment and came out pretty good for giving it a minute of thought. We are going to work on getting the color right a redoing it. Thanks again!!!!

How is that unit working for you I just ordered on a couple of days ago. Any pics of the video quality? How is the fit and finish of the unit it self?

It basically sits in there and beleive me, its going nowhere. I had a hard time getting it out. And for the head unit, its working great!!
We almost have the color right. Just a little more refining!

The unit fit just exactly like the original radio fit. Just slid in and I secured it to the brackets that came with the old radio.

werd.

Leave the woodgrain attempts alone and just match the oem plastic and it will look oh so clean.

Did you get the unit from the same place I got mine? And how much did you spend?

Yeah i did i paid 181 but I got the moterized touch screen with the navi and cdc option. I will be doing a install write up with mine and a review. I will also be hooking up some subs and amps at the same time so mine will take a little longer.

The cdc is cd changer control. As far a nav goes I have found one unit that is universal but I am wondering if the brains from another unit like a kenwood or clarion will work with this.

I don't know if you can hook up the factory cdc. The newer style hook up is the round pin type. I think our factory cdc hook up is the square plug style. Maybe there is a conversion harness. But the new cdc are so cheap now a days that I may just a new 10 disc. More cd capacity and I can incorporate it into my trunk set up.

how is the quality? like, how easy is the interface to use, it looks like a chinese company so are there any problems with the english, is it built sturdily? This is a really good deal and just seems to good to be true, I am almost thinking about getting one now.
