check the wiring to the motor, might jsut be a little corroded, also check the autolevel sensors in all 4 wheelwells to make sure that they arent mis-adjusted or loose

puredrift is one of the gods for the 2gen LS, u can hardly doubt that he is wrong....well sometimes.

Check to see if the hesitation is related to one or both headlights first. This motion they go through when the lights are turned on is a test cycle that’s independent of the headlight level sensors. There are only two level sensors on your car and they’re located at the front right wheel and the rear right wheel.

The mechanism may be jamming on the headlight , check as i am sure it is only one side and not both.

Complete headlights have a built in controller and motor as well as the ballasts.
