As much as I like my 95 I would swap for the 98 for upgraded seats, engine, tranny, airbags, etc. I like my 95 and will still keep it when I buy my 06 430.

1998 doesn't have upgraded seats. It has side airbags and a rear center headrest if that's what you mean.

98 all the way , no amount of maintenance on it would not make it a better choice. More power , quieter , smoother , better fuel economy and looks pimp.
The best part is the design has not aged as much as the previous 98 LS's have .

Yeah I thought the 98 had improved softer top cushions in addition to the rear middle headrest.....like the improvement from 94-95 (cushions).

yea, they changed the leather and the seat composition a bit so the 98+ feels a bit more "plush"

Too bad I won't be driving it for too long, winter is around the corner.

Question...

When the car comes to a fast stop (in drive or reverse) there is a slight clunk from the front end. As well, when reving the engine in park, it's pretty shaky in the shifter/steering wheel. This leads me to believe the motor mounts are bad. What do you guys think?

I know in the SC the trans mount makes alot more difference than the motor mounts, so Id definately start there.

It sounds like motor mounts and/or trans mount to me as well.
