Video of my 99 LS400 with Muffler Delete / Jbrady|Lexkost type Intake
This is for anyone interested in the actual sound of course of doing these mods. Im sure with a stock intake it'd sound almost the same.
I uploaded to streetfire of course to save my friends bandwidth on his server where I keep only photos.
I am going to get extensions and then some nice tips put on in a few weeks but for now I love the sound instead of the complete silence.. its not too loud like everyone whos done it can attest to and I didn't lose any low end torque either as far as I can tell, at least nothing noticeable.
Here's the link. Enjoy Thanks

OMG , LMAO , i first opened it up and was like why does someone have a vid of my car, I don't remember doing anything in an area like that///?????
I then noticed the stock parts and my heart rate slowed.
Does not sound bad ,just a bit hollow like thin metal such as aluminized piping was used in stead of stainless steel.

I did this mod not too long ago, and like skperf said, its too hollowish..
I'm looking into magnaflow right now. For now the delete does a nice job, but on my '92, you can see the section of piping end right behind the rear wheel.. not a good look!

Well like I mentioned I am taking it to a shop sometime soon and getting something decent to finish the exhaust back up, will update when that happens.

Iansaltes , are you saying yours sounds like that or just commenting on teh video ?
The hollowish sound is because of the piping used, i posted some vids of my cars exhaust but i used stainless steel instead of the aluminized steel. The aluminized is cheaper and does not last as long but there is a difference in sound from the pipe alone. So you don;t need to change the set ups just replace the pipes.

I love your exhaust sounds though, sk. I found your vidz on youtube back before I even knew it was yours!

Good job - sounds good. I always wondered what deleting the mufflers would sound like. I deleted the middle resonators and the car sounds like yours. I am also considering new mufflers (with dual exhaust) since I want it to sound better - considering APEXI WS.

yeah mine has that hollowish sound also. almost like a mustang. i deleted the rear most baffeled mufflers and the middle resonator on my 99. i didn't think it was the metal but it really makes sense. maybe i will upgrade later for the longevity of the material.
