What an awesome find! A second gen with air suspension.. thats quite rare, as well as the color you got.

Thank you all. I have a feeling the 60k was not performed before I purchased the car. However, I'm going to do what I can myself. I need to find some plugs and wires as I believe they are the originals on the car.

The transmission fluid was flushed and filled at 15k, 30k, and I have dumped 4 total qts and replaced at 58k.

I can do the diff, filters, plugs, wires, gaskets, etc. I honestly don't know what else is in the 60k. I'll have to look at my book.

How do you use a clay bar and when can I use it or not?
My paint looks very thin, as if there is hardly any clear coat left. I know its a black color and all but would a clay bar help or remove any clear coat I have left.

Thanks

if its the actual black color (black onyx 202) then it doesnt have any clearcoat.

lexus didnt start clearcoating black until ~2001.

Uh... are you sure about this? I don't agree with this statement. My silver 94 LS400 definitely had a decent clearcoat..

Basically you buy a clay-bar kit (Mothers). Work in small sections on a freshly washed car, applying the detailing mist and rubbing the clay bar over the paint. After, I applied a cleaner wax and then a polish on top.

Thank you.

I paid $10k which I was comfortable paying given the service records provided.

It was an original owner car, but a dirty original owner car.
