My wife drives the '94 LS about 20 miles across the Colorado plains to work every day. When it snows she drives an '03 lx470. Even with blizzaks the LS doesn't have the ground clearance for our snows and resulting drifts.

kinda like a drift car but when it does catch to try to straighten itself out,, the whiplash effect can be really much; so you better know how to counteract and countersteer very very quickly. Just drive it slow, leave plenty of room to react to anything, assume the the other guy, not you is gonna mess up, and most importantly,,,,BE READY TO REACT TO UST ABOUT ANYTHING!!!!!

I predict a fun winter nevertheless. This is going to be the first winter that I'm driving a RWD car. (the Celica doesn't count... it was a Nevada car 'til 2005 and has never seen snow in its lifetime)
Oh, did I mention I don't believe in traction control?

Yeah, I found this out this week when I tried doing a massive drift in the rain. The *** end slides with little effort, but tremendous amount of body roll on these cars and momentum cause an absolutely insane sideways-whiplash effect when it finally does catch on the contersteer. ![Thumb Down](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)

When I first bought the car and tried doing a donut, I found out the hard way that the light in my gauge cluster was lying to me. That was by far the most akward donut I have ever done, with the car fighting me the whole time.

I would have crashed today on I-70 in Colorado if I didn`t have traction control. Early morning, going downhill 65mph caught an ice patch, started sliding - fishtaling, in both lanes, trac beeping was going off like crazy.Traction control and swift countersteering helped to regain control. It was scary as hell, guys. Not like it never happened to me before, but never on highway and at highway speed. Time to change the tires, I know I am late this year, or, should I say, the cold weather is too early. I do have OEM 16" with dedicated winter tires and 18" for summer. Winter tires in Colorado are a must, no doubt.

I have yet to try it yet, but will the LS actually stop spinning its rear tires with the TSC on? Ive only owned the car now for 2 1/2 months and am learning something new about it everytime I get on the forums.
