Wiring stock amp with new headunit
this is for a 1991 Celsior/LS400
ok, I bought a new pioneer GPS unit and the "87+ toyota" wiring kit. Everythng goes together good, except there was nothing to wire in the connector for the fatory amp/sub.
my car originally had an aftermarket unit when i got it. there was this little 'box' that was wired into the power, ground, and all 4 speakers. the other connector on the 'box' fit into the connector for the amp. the only wire from the 'box' is a blue one, that i dont know where to hook it. I already have the blue wire from the wiring kit hooked to the blue wire on the deck.
So i hooked that up and i still hear nothing out of the subwoofer.
How do i check that the amp is not blown?
Should i splice the blue wire (remote??) into the blue wire on the deck?
thanks.
I can take pictres if needed.

Do yourself a big favor,, get an aftermarket amp to go with the aftermarket headunit. The stock amp is ok for the stock system however it will not do an aftermarket unit any justice. Trust me you will be alot happier with the results.
