Thanks CL! This is what $21k got me
Thanks to CL for all the great information, this community is truly an excellent resource! BIG MAHALO!!!
I went from a 2000 GS300 platinum series in Hawaii, which I sold for $21k
Moved to Cali and bought a 1999 GS300 w/60k miles at a local Jaguar dealer in July for $16k, and in September picked up a 1995 LS400 w/165k from a cop for $5k. Two great quality vehicles at $21k for him and her!

LS is mine
Thanks fellas, right now I'm driving the LS and the wife drives the GS. The LS's are around but I wouldn't say very common in Cali. I got really lucky only because of all the information on this site that told me 95 is the best value right now because of the updated look, price.etc.. The only problem with the LS is the interior is dried and cracked in a couple of places, I will most likely get it reupholstered. Any suggestions on reupholstery?
Just got back from a quick run to SAC and let me say that both cars are totally different driving experiences.
GS = more road feel, more road/wind noise, much more fun to drive w/ I-6
LS = soft pillow ride, effortless acceleration, much less driver fatigue.
