I posted the strut bushing number in my post but I guess my post was too long and people don't bother to read through it. The bushings are simply pressed out with a press. There is no orientation when installing the bushings but you do need to mark the eccentric bolt attaching it before taking off the old strut arm, and you also need to make sure that you tighten that bolt with the front suspension on the ground otherwise you place a tension on the new bushing it will wear out very quickly.

I replaced the front right strut rod bushing today. They charged me for 1.5 hours (compared to 1 hour for the whole bar). No more clunking from the front end. Now I find out I gotta do the left one too. It's not too bad, so I'll leave it alone for now.
Whats left: 2 engine mounts, 1 tranny mount
I think I'll machine/replace all the rotors and clean the brakes... I hear a faint friction sound when driving slowly.

When I am going slow and turning a corner I hear a whirring noise or chortle, if that makes any sense.
I have had the brakes and rotors checked when I bought the car and new are in very good shape. Could it be just a brake adjustment so that there is less contact? Thanks for your help.

You should have called , i replaced my strut rods last week.
I am buying a pair of upper control arms and the engine mounts to change as well as either a electric fan conversion or a new fan clutch plus to rear control arms as mine are seized for adjusting the rear toe. We could have gotten a large order discount.
Oh well.

sk, PM me your number.
Where are you getting your parts and where are you getting the work done?
I still have to install 3 mounts and the left strut rod bushing.
Let me know..

Back from the dead. A part number was pulled out of here that was superseded, but is still shown.
4867440051 $49.33 $0.00 $34.70
CUSHION, STRUT BAR

Now is the superseded part number accurate for an OEM 95-00 strut rod bushing, or is it something else? I'd hate to order it and get a metal sleeve instead

I was able to order these from Maroone Toyota in Fort Lauderdale. $49 each. Took about 4 days to get them.
