To tint or not to tint?
#16
Hmm... well I'd be willing to sacrifice some visibility for my privacy. I think 10% sounds good on the sides, and 5% on the back.
It'll probably be a few weeks, but I'll post pics when it's all said and done.

Yeah LA is ridiculous and I am in the valley too! Ach! However I have to say my back window might be a little too dark. At night when reversing I cant see a damn thing! Rear vision mirror works fine though.

i used to have really dark tints on all my cars, but i no longer like the look. 5% at night is a big risk for scraping your bumper on something. i also dont like the look of cars that have really dark tints on the back windows then light ones up front. i like more balance.
for the next car i get, im thinking about getting 20-30% all around, maybe the rear window a little bit darker. its dark enough for privacy but not dark enough to attract police attention or pitch blackness.
5% tints do come in handy sometimes, i cant count how many times i have had sex in the backseat of my old TL and had people walk right near the window and not be able to see anything.

Not to Tint! A month a go I was stopped and got a ticket from a F..king state patrol. Cost me $132.00. What a rip off.....I was mad. I'm still mad.
I bought that car, a 96 Honda accord for a temporary use while I fix my LS400 and the tint came with the car. The guy that own it never got stopped.
The day I sold the car, I was stopped......Did I say I'm still mad?...Stupid law.

I know for a fact they don't give each other tickets (unless it a real bone-head move). One of my teachers is a Lt for OC Sheriffs Dept, and his PERSONAL Crown Vic has 5% all around. And they just flash their lil badges, and all is good.
