$60-70 for the pair isn't all that bad. I think I might just order a set and throw them in.

The Hid bulb runs at about 12,000 volts it dosen't have a filament to burn it arcs and they do cost a lot a Pirius hid bulb at Toyota cost $335.00 at toyota and about $350.00 at lexus not sure what is cost on ebay this is probably your best bet to save money. I paid $488.00 for the HID kit for my 06 camary and the bulbs I found out will cost me 225-240.00 each if needed.
but the way it lights up the road it is worth every penny

the same bulb that the lexus/toyota dealership sells (almost all the manufacturers run bulbs made by Philips/Osram) can be had on the market brand new for around ~$100/pair.
