Thanks. I do have the HIDs. I guess the other thing I'm surprised that these cars don't have is headlight washers. Personally I don't care because I wash my car frequently and don't have to deal with snow/slush, but it seems like most of the competition had the washers.

They are $99.00 shipped on eBay for Philips D2R bulbs (OEM).

If you do have HID bulbs as they get older the bulb has a 12,000 volt arc to keep it lit. It will loose some of it brillance and good hid bulbs can cost up to 350.00 each. Check ebay for good deals

350? the hell, u can get OEM D2R bulbs for <$100 a pair brand new

philips 4300k of course

Would anyone recommend a HID high beam? What about for fogs? I know it take a sec for hids to warm up, but it shouldnt be too long.

fogs yes, high beam NO unless ur going bi-xenon projector.

HIDs HATE being "flashed"

Could HID's be used in a '97 400 LS that now has halogens, both high and low beams? If so, what would you recommend?

Where would be the best place to get them? Just go on eBay and grab a set? I'm guessing the stock ones are 4300k like you said above.

yep, just make sure u got a pair of Philips 85126 bulbs (D2R 4300k) and ur set.

quick question. On my 1998 LS400 the passenger side headlight says HB3 and the driver's side says D2r. Does that mean that I have a non HID passenger side headlight?
