Ignition key cylinder light

Does Ignition key cylinder light stay lit on door open and off when all doors close on '90 ls400? I need to rewire it

If I remember correctly, I works just like the courtesy lights do. Comes on when you open the doors and fades off after the doors have been closed. This may help you a little in order to gain access.
