Many contributors to this board post unscientific and unverifiable info.
Seafoam in the intake? What tires are better? More power with a K&N filter?
Almost everything here could be considered subjective, but it's great reading and highly educational. This is a great community except for maybe a few "bad apples".

Peace be with you brother!

You are correct and several cab fleets are now running synthetic oil in thier engines and say that the engines wear better get better mileage and last to long for most cities want cabs dumped at 400,000 miles. The big truckes are now running mobil one and getting about 2million miles on their engines.I have talked to several people who now check gas mileage running dino oil and synthetic oil and they all say they get better mileage with mobil one. also you can now get the new mobil one extended 15,000 mile oil and the cheapest place to get is Walmart.

To SWO7ES somthing of interest is that most of the long haul semi truck drivers now are using Mobil one synthetic oil in their engines and transmissions and power steering and are able to stretch the oil changes triple and save money. I was suprised to hear about this from severa people I know who drive long haul and they said there engines are lasting a lot longer from over haul saving a ton of money. And as you said some fleet vehicles maybe aren't saving money I can't figure why when you can go 15,000 miles between oil changes.

you could guess a lot of fleet vehicles (such as police cars and work trucks) sit idling for extended periods of time, which as you know can contaminate oil much quicker than normal driving, thus negating the benefits that normally apply to normal use passenger cars
