no incorrect
completely and utterly
If you put a 245/40 on a 17x8 vs a 225/40 on a 17x8 in the front of your car, i GUARANTEE you there will be a better handling on teh 225/40. Less sidewall flex as your turning in will create a crisper, faster turn in than the 245.
While i may not know much about LS, wheel and tires adn suspension are something i know quite a bit about.

wider tires give better handling: true
thinner sidewalls give better handling: true
the thing is, when you buy a wider tire for a car, you're supposed to compensate by lowering the aspect ratio in order to maintain the same overall wheel/tire diameter.
ie-225-60-16 is the stock size for a 93-00 LS4, so 245-45-18 is the "correct" size for upsized+wider tires.
19psi already stated the bulk of the arguement for using wider tires so il let that rest

Those are nice wheels
I think my wheels will come from Tire rack.My friend shoved 21s on a 90 LS with spring rubber boosters and it never did look like a 4x4.That would be the route I would take if I had the chance.
Anymore recommendations from tire rack?

whatever you like best.
i've seen 20's on the 1G LS's and yes, they are lifted and jacked up and look crappy.
putting 21's on with some spacers..... christ almighty if that didn't look like a 4x4 you need to get some glasses.
