Newbie from New York in the house...
Hey everyone. Just want to drop a line and say hello. Just picked up a mint condition 93 LS400 white with 125K on the clock. Love the car so far and probably is the best $2600 I eve spend.
I have read many threads on the forum and they are very helpful including all the sticky. But I do have one question at the moment that I would like to figure out. Between the 1st Gen and 2nd Gen...is there any difference in the suspension setup? the reason why I am asking is my car nose dives everytime i hit the brakes hard. the previous owner replaced the rear shocks and knuckles but not the front. So I am planning to buy new shocks and lowering springs for the car. I am in NY and roads are rough over here so I dont want to slam the car like many pics I see in this forum. I would like to go with Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs. But I can't seem to find any on the internet for my 93 model. I see many people here have that setup but on the 97-99 model. so are they all the same or I have to settle for the KYB GR2 shocks and Tanabe springs?? I would like my ride to stiff up a bit and the car to handle tighter. coming from a MB AMG, the LS is like riding on air...still getting use to it.
Thanks for your help.

Nice pickup. My guess is, the guy who sold it to you didn't want to pay the thousand to get the front suspension issue cleared up so he sold it at a discount. And at $2,600, that's a HUGE discount. Great deal buddy. Welcome to our forum.

hey LSexy , visit the neloc forums (http://sr1.clublexus.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=175) and introduce urself to the north east lexus owners. as for shocks and springs, im currently running KYB shocks/struts with H&R sport springs. ride is really good even in NYC streets and def stiffer than stock!

Thanks pure drift. Which is the best for handling? KYB GR2 or Tokico? And which spring should I go with, Eibach or H&R? I have always heard Eibach makes the best springs.

don't see you in the ls forum much
93LSexy, i did a bit of research and the H&R offer nearly the same drop as the eibachs, although they may not be AS stiff they're your best bet if u want the closest thing to a set of eibachs
