oh get invest in some 3M film for your hood and bumper. They will help deflect those rock chips, and well worth the cost considering the investment you placed on the paint job.

Cheers.

Thanks man.. the quotes I wasgetting for clear bra w/ installation were near $1200 so I decided it would be cheaper to just repaint the front bumper later.

I got most of the rock chips when I drove the car up from the Bay Area to Seattle. And I did that twice, so yeah. What can you do?

I'm trying to finish up my audio system, and I'll post pictures of my updated interior soon too

Man, I'm loving the JDM headlamps!!! I thought about the smoked lamps that you are looking at. I chose the regular clears, to match the red/clears that I knew I was going with. Maybe the smoked one with red/clears and smoke the clear part to match?

I had my 3m clear bra done for the bumper for $350 so 1200 is a lexus dealer price rip off , ask around for a better rate.

Car's looking nice. I didn't think the smoke lights would look good, but they do. Good job!

Wow, that quote was HIGH. Was that quoted while you were down here in CA, or up there in WA?

BTW, how did you get your JDM headlights? Did you drive over to Canada?

Haha no I didn't, although that would have been a good idea. I bought them off ebay! There are a bunch on eBay right now if you want a pair

It was once upon a time silver, sometimes confused for white depending on the lighting conditions.

It is now Smoky Granite Mica, sometimes confused for black, grey, and yes, purple, depending on the lighting conditions

Grrr...Ebay selling them for a quite a few $$$ (mainly the air shipping from Japan). Next time I'm visiting my folks in Washington I'm heading up to Canada and stockpiling those headlights.

They look awesome with the new paint job though.

yes, but canada allows the importation and legalization of 15(?) year old+ cars and there are quite a few 1st gen celsiors running around.

In Canada as mentioned we import then as well as having quite a few resellers of Japanese parts. For a celsior to be dot or transport Canada approve it has to have the lights changed to 2 piece so many people here will want to swap the legal ones for the 1 piece ones for free.
