Sounds mean Pure, but you should go with more conservative tips. That's my opinion though. Overall an A+

Wow Pure it sounds mean. There is a small center resonator/cat on mine just before the rear Y-Pipe - apparently you did duals from the exhaust manifold back to the mufflers!!!!! Lemme know if it passes inspection without that little cat in the middle.

mind didnt have a cat in the center, only a muffler/resonator.

the new exhaust starts RIGHT after the O2 sensor (after the pair of cats on the manifold)

So you did 2.25" piping from the 2 cats, replaced the center muffler/resonator with a 10" x-pipe and then did 2.25" piping back to dual magnaflow mufflers correct?

baaaaaaaaad asssssssssss! I put vids of my old lexus on myspace a couple years ago. If you search the videos on myspace for "LS400" look for two short videos by jcrome04. Or you can look at my page... I had 2 1/4" all the way, 2 huge resonators, and two ANSA silverline mufflers. It sounded amazing! Quiet on the highway but drop jaws when you get on the trottle!!!!

Thumbs up Sounds Awesome!

Hey PureDrifter,

Your exhaust and Hameed's silver GS400 have the best sounding exhausts I've heard via video clips for the V8's. Great job.

What shop did you have your work done at, and about how much did parts and labor run?

What type of metal material for the 2.25" piping?

Was it mandrel or regular bends?

Thanks,
LexSterone

my exhaust was done by Speedway Muffler in Walnut and used mostly Magnaflow components. the tubing was 2.25 mild steel.

the bends were regular, i discussed going mandrel with the owner and even though it would have cost me more $$ (and therefore made him more $$) he advised me that for the gains the price was extravagent and that for the most part, he only reccomended mandrel for people going after big hp and/or turbo cars.

I must agree its louder. A cars exhaust can enhance or degrade its overall appeal. Every owner is entitled to individuality.
