I have continentals on my ride (staggered 18s, 8.5f 9.5r), and had no idea just how bad my ride would be. First snow we had I used snow-mode, barely gassing it sliding like a greased up sled until I got a hang of it.
Second snow I learned again - I have a gravel uphill driveway and basically took 30 minutes of getting completely stuck then making back and forth runs to make a path to get out.

Yeah wider tires make it even worse in snow.. I'm going to try to buy a skinnier tire size for the snow tires.

dude....go with the blizzak ws-60's.....trust me, you can't go wrong.
ask 19psi.....he's very knowledgable on tires.....i don't think going to a skinnier tire will make that much of a difference...

A friend of mine has 2002 Infiniti Q45, it is a RWD like LS. He has 255 tires on rear( he said Blizzaks) and can`t make up even small incline. Part of of it is wider tires, I believe, and probably InfinitiQ45 isn`t as good in snow as LS.
He used to have a 1993 LS and recollects he never had such problems in snow as with this 2002 Q45.
