NGK iridium's on my98 LS400
#31
i never heard of anti-seize lubrication until now lmaooo. so i ran outside and took my car apart really quick to see if my iridium ix got stuck. nopes i twisted it out pretty easily. i had it in for about 10k miles. i torque it down to specification which is 13lbs. i notice that the engine oil is surrounding the plug threads itself. so that what must protect the plugs from stickin :]. thats just my 1 - 2 fo you guys. my lexus mechanic never told me to use anti-seize haha.

The anti seize i use is a copper based lube from moly slip. It is pro grade and not the easiest to find atleast in a diy shop as it comes in shop sized containers. You may have used anti seize on your plugs harry but it is an industry standard to never apply them to the plugs threads . The closest to it is die electric grease on the coil points of the plugs for releasing the boots or coil packs.
I use anti seize on everything as well but never on a block or head . Check the working temperatures for them and i am sure they are not going to have +250 degrees in their range. Just for fun ask your local engine builder on their thoughts on the subject .
