This is a very good topic, because I am extremely close to ordering a set for my 94, now if someone would just add struts into the conversation. I would be set

for a first gen?
KYB or Tokico are your only real options, both will work fine with the eibach's mild drop but the tokicos will give u a somewhat firmer ride than the near-OEM KYBs.

I wanted Eibach because of what PD said before and I personally had much experience with them. I had them in the past on few of my cars and they ROCK! a definate balance between comfort, blance, and just a touch lower. It gives you that sport feel without rattling your teeth out. and my main goal in redoing my suspension is to get rid of the body roll and brake dives. KYB is very close to OEM but slightly firmer. I had both Tokico and KYB in the past as well and I prefer KYB. I found them to last longer than Tokico and give you more control. After doing some research and a little luck, I found my desire combo of Eibach Sportline springs and KYB GR-2 shocks. I also ordered Daizen sway bar bushings to further improve the handling.
Don't get me wrong...I love the LS ride...that's the whole reason I bought the car...
I will add for my 95 I bought a used set of tanabe DF210's and they were so soft I took them off and put my H&R's back on! I couldn't stand the roll and clumsy feel versus the crisp ride of the H&R. I guess it depends on what you are after (look versus handling). The Tanabes dropped the car much more than my H&R's but the ride was like a boat again - too soft for me
How much is the drop on the H&R springs and how do they handle?
The H&R springs gives only a 1" drop. I have them on my 92 with the KYB's and love them. The car handles very well, little to no body roll sway and I hardly ever bottom out (unless I hit a dip really hard. I also paired them up with the Daizen bushings (complete front end as well as the sways). It really surprises people at how agile the big car is now. I only get on it every once it a while, sorta to let her stretch her legs and she runs beautifully. I opted for the 1" drop anyway because of the road conditions in my area, and I like to have rubber on my rims. I am running 18's with a 40 profile tire and there is no rubbing at all. I probably could have gone a little lower, but I like mine where it is.
