Galant has been deconstructed to OEM, as much as possible. It got in an accident on sat, lost my jdm heads, hid kit, and jdm grill. oem bumper was on thankfully. Im selling my JDM front on ebay. I just bought jdm sides and rear w/ rare rear lip, only one of its kind in the US, sold em for $1500.00.
Parents will be driving it when its out the shop.
Megans listed at 1050.00, most shops do about 850.00, but I got a wholesale hookup.
I want the SSR Vienna 19" setup. But yea, im still learning about the LS offset and wheel size ability. I want to roll the fenders for sure, but iono bout pulling them out or going cambered out. I want the tires to last. I want a VIP look, but im a broke *** still. But hey...fake it till you make it..lol

man that sucks...i wanted a galant before too and slap jdm vr4 motor in it but fabing the galant to be 4 wheel drive will probably cost alot of money...
1st gen ls400's supposively have a high stock offset just like fwd's but you can fit alot of wheels....im actually running 18x7.5+8 in the front and 18x8.5+15 in the rear and all i did was roll all 4 corners. check this video out...thats exactly how i rolled my fenders and worked really great and cost you no money at all.

My Galant was deemed unfixable by my insurance. Just about done selling my parts off it. Just waiting till saturday comes around to check the LS out. Then I'll begin modifying it...
Need to get it ready for the shows. Im a member of Team GOUKI (our most known car is the blue turbo charged widebody TC)

decent flushness? depending on the width... even a standard 19x9/10 staggered setup would have you poking nearly an inch in the back, dont think you can just slap on those puppies, be prepared for a nice roll and maxed camber settings with stretched tires.

yea, but anything under 35 (depending on tire size) you will have to roll if ur low.

So..
SSR Vienna 19x9+37 114.3 4/5h 19x10+37
Megan Coilovers
Tucked all around, at worst a pinky gap in the rear and finger in the front.
Dunno about camber yet.
BUT....
With rolled flat fenders (no pulling), what tire setup should I use?
This car will be my daily, driving 50 - 80 miles daily.
Im not looking to have it crazy cambered.
The price jump of 18" to 19" tires is just wrong.

10" on +37 i dno't know if you'd really ahve to roll at all.
i had 10" on +24 and it needed a good roll, but i used wide tires...if i could have gotten the 235's i had to seat, they probably would have cleared without much of a roll at all.
for tires, i use whatever is cheap/free! i'm not a tire snob, and i wear out tires way too fast to buy new and worry about matched sets.

I have my tire brand preferences. I do research on that too, but im talking about tire size for that setup. I dont want them super thin, but I dont need fattys. Im asking for a good tire size setup requiring not much camber and where it wont rub.
XXX/XXZR19....
fronts and rear.
Never had wheels w/ different offset or widths....

oh ok. i'd go with the smallest possible because with 19's, you're already going to be larger than stock OD, so your speedo will be off. 225 40 19 or 235 35 19 for front. rear 255 35 19 . you could also run a 245 40 19 in the rear or even the same 235 35 19 rear and 225 40 19 front. depends on how close you are when you're lowered, you may need the stretch of a 235 in the back, or you could get away with 245 or 255.
hope that wasn't confusing. i deal with this stuff all the time, so i just rattle it off like everyone understands how tire sizes work.

Cool!
Now, im at a predicament.
There are two wheel setups available. Practically the same price. Dunno what would be better they are the same style too.
Work Euroline 19x8+30 114.3 5h 19x10+38 114.3 5h
OR
SSR Vienna 19x9+37 114.3 4/5h 19x10+37 114.3 4/5h
Opinions and Why....?
