Hey, please allow me to introduce my self, I am an owner of a 1990 LS400 sold in the US in 1989. Yes as you all know the flagship Lexus LS along with the 1989 release of the 1990 ES250 set the bar for luxury in 89! As you can tell I am a proud owner and enjoy keeping my classic clean. My other Lex was a 1992 ES300 first gen for the 300 and second ES to the 250. I love these cars and I am a big Lexus fan. Glad to be a ClubLexus member and look forward to reading and posting.

It is amazing to see the little differences in the LS around the world. From the right hand drive, the lower front valence, all the way to the different position of the backup light on the inner tails. All together, a very nice and clean car. Welcome to the club.

Here are pics as requested. My father purchased this car in 1989 and I am the second owner.

for some reason i dont like the way that car looks at all....

maybe because its soo high, or the wheel fitment doesnt strike me at all....

yeah, I realize the stance isn't very aggressive. Also the tires are 225/40/18 and I can go a lot wider and taller but I got a deal on the set. I would go with a 235 or 245/40 next time. As for the mods, I posted that the Tint is next followed by exhaust and suspension. I am definitely lowing the car, just one thing at a time you know? Just got it painted solid pearl white and my wings west spoiler is on the way and will be painted to match as well. It's coming along.

i wouldnt touch any body mods without lowering the car a decent bit first, you're going to be looking like hardcore rice without it....

other than the stance, the body looks decent, paint looks good, and the wheels can be compensated by a good low stance.

I totally agree, I dropped the 2 tone, that was killing me! So while we are working with paint I had to go with the deck lid spoiler. I will be taking recommendations for the suspension once the funds are in place! Thanks for the critique. I also would like opinions on exhausts! I want to do that right, I am definitely not looking to be loud! Have been looking at borla and magnaflow universals. Please advise.

exhaust:
2.25, made from the cats back, center resonator replaced with a manufactured x-pipe, and dual mufflers, magnaflow or borla depending on what kind of sound you want.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=329306 is the setup i have on my car, captured with a crappy camera.
car has old wheels in this vid.
