After bleeding the brakes and breaking in the pads, they work great.
Feels very firm and also has much better modulation. Ceramics work in combination with slotted/ drilled rotors. They don't eat the rotors and run lower temps and good for long rotor life.

drilled i would RARELY recco on a street driven car since most places actually DRILL the rotors, OEMs and brembo all cast the rotors with the holes in them, thereby not reducing their integrity.
and the 2LS i know, comes with ceramic pads from the factory, but im not so sure on 1st gen.

Life of drilled/slotted depends on how you use them. I have 2 other cars with drilled /slotted rotors. 1 has 12k mi. other 4k mi. No pulse or pedal anomalies. rotors don't show any line wear yet. I bought 1 Ceramic set, 1 Kevlar Carbon pads. The total package delivered for Lexus was $338 shipped for Ceramic pads & drilled/slotted rotor. IMO they're worth the money.
P.S I had them chromed LIC

i thought those rotors look familiar
. i have R1 Concept cross drill/slotted rotors on my 1995 ls400. I love them, so far no problems and i have the tendency to heavy foot the brakes
. they wont wont ship you messed up rotors either. i was wondering what took so long for my order to come in. they explained to me how the rotor was warp and they had to create a new set. im happy with R1 Concepts :]
