That was after the Seafoam was sucked in through the brake booster and sat for 15min.

I'm going to take some step-by-step photos and try to make a DIY out of it.

5.5 ounces, 1/3 of the can.

It was pretty cool!

I read on the can you can use the whole thing in the crank case??????? I never put it in the engine since I have run Mobil1 since new (only gas tank). Maybe I will try it to see if it smokes like that - it was seriously smoking. I hear it works in the crank case until the engine is warm and then it evaporates. From your video, it looks like a lot of stuff was burning out

Nice video,, Smokey!!! LOL!! Looks like alot fo the stuff was burned off. When you do your DIY with pics, go under the hood and point out exactly where to put the stuff for some of us less than confident people.

Seafoam is great, but be wary where you do it. I had a neighbour call the fire brigade. Luckily they were cool with it as one of my friends is a fireman. Car performed great after though!

I think you're supposed to do (of the 16oz can) 1/3 of in the crank case, 1/3 in the gas tank, and 1/3 in the brake booster.

I only did the brake booster. i'm going to do It in the crankcase before I change my oil next. And I've heard you are NOT supposed to run Seafoam in the crankcase for MORE THAN 100 MILES!! Don't want anyone hurting their engines!

And yeah one of my buddies is a fireman/EMT too, so I don't think it would've been too big of a deal if someone called! I just figure if it's illegal why would they sell it??? haha

Here are some facts and some personal usages on it.
I use 1/2 a can through the intake hose before the throttle body as the brake booster is at the rear of the engine and will not clean the front of the manifold through that distribution point.
To do it my way you need to angle the pipe upwards to keep it from rolling out of the pipe through gravity. I also use a pump bottle so it will cause the spray to atomize and not pool in holes and corners of the manifold but evenly distribute.
I also drilled a hole in the plastic to have an easy way to ingest it as i do it at every oil change.

If you put the can in the engine oil you can use the whole thing.
Add it when cold as it only works well when the engine is warm . When it gets to about 100 degrees it will evaporate so it will not continue to clean. What does happen is the oil has been broken down and is no longer a protected the way it was intended. Driving with sea foamed oil will not help clean more so their is no use to keep running it after having it in the engine for 15 minutes at idle.
I do go around the block under wot to get some up higher and get the oil pump to full pressure.

Hope this clears some of it up on how to use it.

The reason i asked how much you used is i have never seen that much smoke . It smokes when i do it but it looks like it pooled and was mainly burning off the pooled sea foam instead of the carbon deposits. Unless you had a really bad amount of carbon in your engine.

question that i havent been able to get a concrete answer on:

when seafoaming the intake, do you need to change sparkplugs? ive had conflicting reports that it has the tendency to foul them up really bad.
