Leaking head gasket? Death of my car?

neo, do a compression test, or if u dont feel like pulling all the plugs, use a pressure tester for the cooling system, pressurize to 1bar or so and leave it for a few hours to see if it leaks much at all...

As mentioned in another thread, I would be surprised if it was the headgasket. Like Pure said, I do not think a HG would leave a puddle.
Like most have said, check for water/coolant in oil or visa-versa - oil in the coolant. Strange thing happened on my grandfathers 1990 Mazda 929 (3.0L V6). The car never overheated, but it was getting OIL in the coolant, rather than coolant in the oil. He had the HGs replaced and it happened again, but never overheated. It was actually parked because it kept leaking fuel! The faulty fuel line was replaced and replaced and replaced, but days later it would start leaking again. Strangest thing I had ever seen. Probably explains why I seen a Mazda 929 that looked like the same year as his on fire under the hood in the mall parking lot about 3 years ago. Due to the fuel leak, his car is now setting in the yard, where it has been for about 3 years now.

I don't feel like pulling all the plugs right now -- Testing the cooling system.. Can I pressure test it from the Reservoir? I suppose so since the cap on the reservoir looks pressurized. -- Can I borrow the tester ? Or need to buy it?
As for the OP:
Anyone heard from Suneet lately? I saw this thread and haven't noticed him/her around?

Hey, sorry.. I've been super busy with work. I still haven't really made any progress with my issue.. I just monitor the coolant fluid and continue to drive it normally. So far, no issues, or no overheating.
It hasn't been warm at all here yet, so I can't tell if the car is releasing white smoke, as it's always cold. I'm waiting for a sunny warm day to figure that one out. I also need to figure out what is puddling underneath the car-- I think its just condensation, but sometimes the puddles are really big.
So where does one get one of these exhaust gas in the coolant testers from?

also, you'd have to have some damn good ears to hear any air coming out of either the intake or exhaust, which si what you have to listen for if y ou're going to pressurize the cooling system to check for a leaking HG. thats' why SOP for HG testing is the leakdown test. you can actually get one for cheap if you already have an air compressor to use with it.
