^ no vibrations or squeals from the rotors? Technically you should clean the rotors with a scotch pad and some brake cleaner to get surface clean and fresh for the new pads. Pads leave crap on the rotor and for most cars, the brakes squeal and judder if the rotors aren't cleaned/turned.
i CAN tell you they loved the fact that i was able to tell them how to repair the sensor....

not at least scotchbriting the rotors to give some bite to the old rotor isnt the best idea as it prevents the new pads from bedding in properly and can lead to everything from squealing/noisy brakes (now or down the line) and even increased pad wear.

Most mechanics recommend turning the rotors because it generates more money for them and also when the rotors get too thin and need replacing, that's even more money. lol.
From what I read, taking a rough, scrubbing pad, or something like that, and giving the rotor a good cleaning should be good enough. However, a freshly machined surface is always nice.
PureDrifter, I can't believe it's only $5~ over there at NAPA.

to clarify, you take them JUST the rotors (off the car) and they mill them for you

turning rotors is also a great way to save ur rotors when they get mildly warped.
