no, no vibrations or squeals at all.....not sure if they cleaned the rotors or not.....is this something most mechanics do?

i CAN tell you they loved the fact that i was able to tell them how to repair the sensor....

i personally ALWAYS have my rotors cut whenever i do a brake job. (its like $5 at napa anyways )

not at least scotchbriting the rotors to give some bite to the old rotor isnt the best idea as it prevents the new pads from bedding in properly and can lead to everything from squealing/noisy brakes (now or down the line) and even increased pad wear.

Most mechanics recommend turning the rotors because it generates more money for them and also when the rotors get too thin and need replacing, that's even more money. lol.
From what I read, taking a rough, scrubbing pad, or something like that, and giving the rotor a good cleaning should be good enough. However, a freshly machined surface is always nice.

PureDrifter, I can't believe it's only $5~ over there at NAPA.

its $5ish/each to turn the rotors (it takes them 1/2 an hour so i always do it around lunch time )

to clarify, you take them JUST the rotors (off the car) and they mill them for you

turning rotors is also a great way to save ur rotors when they get mildly warped.

to tag on to lenunn's post about the 2000, IF you change the pads before the sensors wear down, can they be reused? I'm about to do the pads on my 2000 tomorrow.

yes, if the light doesnt come on on the dash then you can reuse the sensors.

and iirc brake sensors were on all LS' 89-00 but i know for a fact they were on all 95-00 cars.
