$4,700 for a '91 LS400 w/59,000 miles. I'm the 2nd owner. Car was garage kept and in immaculate condition. Had all service records and hidden in the manual I found the original certificate from Japan signed off that it passed all U.S. Import requirements.

That's a great find at a very fair price. Congrats!! Should give you many years of enjoyment should you elect to keep it.

What color? Does it have all the options? Wow I'd keep it in the garage covered.

I bought my 1992 with 125k miles for 3k. The car was bought and serviced at the same dealership its entire life with full documentation. Sandstone beige metallic paint in really good condition, I can only find one ding in the whole body. The previous owner seems to have already addressed the ls400 design flaws as the p/s pump, alternator, and steering rack are new as of 15k miles ago.

242K miles on it, here are some pics:

The lady that owned it had a mechanic tell her that it needed a new PS rack and pinion(quoted her $1400). It DID have an issue where the PS was very stiff at idle and low speed but normal at higher speed (which is usually a bad solenoid). So she let it go for a measely $700!
However, I ran a check on the solenoid, cleaned the contacts and plugged it back up. It was simply a dirty contact/lose connector issue.

1993 Original Owner LS400 with 225K miles
Just purchased an original owner 93 LS400 that was garage kept and dealer maintained its' entire life. It had the instrument cluster and climate control issues (fixed), white smoke at startup (fixed) and paint and interior that were in great, original condition. After putting hours into cleaning the interior, and clay barring, polishing and waxing the paint it looks like a brand new car. Since taking this picture, I replaced the front turn signals with clear making the vehicle look much more timeless. I look forward to using to drive to watch my two sons play collegiate baseball throughout the southeast next spring.

Very nice find and awesome looking car Mjcotton. I'm sure you'll enjoy the games just as the trips to get there and back. Welcome to the club. Even with those miles it looks great on the outside.

Just picked up a 1992 with 107k miles for 1650.
Seems to be one owner car with Nakamachi system, 6 CD changer, memory and heated seats.
Has a few things that needed to be addressed like a few burnt out lights in climate control, power mirrors not working, hood struts blown and both bumpers scuffed up on corners.
Other than that, decently clean car. No maintenance records or anything included though, so might be looking at a big service soon. (I've read that Lexus may be able to see if any past maintenance items have been done at any of their dealerships, is that true? Might try to check on that before doing the big maintenance)

If any of those cars are what I'm looking for, I wouldn't be driving it. If I want to DRIVE an ls I'd get or already have a daily driver with some miles on it and a few dents so I don't have to worry about it as much.
